The National Institute for Communicable Diseases reported 1,149 new COVID-19 cases.
The Institute also reported 59 more COVID-19 cases.
The Western Cape is leading with 258 new infections, followed by KwaZulu-Natal with 208 new cases.
South Africa’s COVID-19 death toll is 87,981.
