SABC channels experienced a technical glitch on Sunday, 24 October.
The national broadcaster’s channels all blacked out leaving the people of Mzansi confused.
People took to social media to ask what was happening because their TVs went blank with no explanation.
The channels switched off for a few minutes, before coming back up. The corporation released a statement on their social media platforms, explaining that they are experiencing a broadcasting system challenge on their linear and DStv platforms.
They said they are working on resolving the matter. “We are experiencing broadcast system challenges on our FTA television channels on linear and DSTV platforms.
We are working around the clock to resolve the matter and we apologize for any inconvenience this has caused,” they wrote.
