Although many address her by her stage name DJ Hlo, the Disk Jockey was born circa 1997 in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa. Even as a child, she had always wanted to do music.
When she was seven years old, she had already developed an interest in the music industry. Her love for doing music continued to grow and wax strong.

After completing her primary and secondary education, she furthered her pursuit. She enrolled for a Bachelor of Social Science degree at the University of KwaZulu-Natal. She majored in Industrial Psychology and Management.

She is also an upcoming media personality and landed a gig on Soweto TV. She was the host of Kasi Vibes in Johannesburg for the Rush Hour TV show. The show is broadcast on weekdays (Monday-Friday) in the afternoon.
