Masoja Msiza (born 5 October 1964) is a veteran South African actor, musician, and poet. He is popular for playing the role of Nkunzi Mhlongo in the South African telenovela Uzalo.
He is also prominent for playing the role of Bhodlimpi in the soap opera isiBaya. His debut was in the second season of the Mzansi Magic soap opera.
Another role he is well-known for playing the recurring role in Umlilo. He was cast as Welcome in the e.tv drama series.

Early life
He was born on 5 October 1964 in a township in the South African province, Gauteng called Kwa-Thema. He fell in love with acting at the age of 9.
Then he was attending art and drama classes and enjoyed them. When he was 14, he entered a drama competition hosted in his school. He came out the winner of the competition.
After graduating from school, Masoja started to work. He got a job as a miner. After embarking on a strike, with other colleagues at work, he was fired with those involved.
The actor then decided to enter the entertainment industry and that was when his acting career was born. He landed his first acting gig and appeared in the Gibson Kente play titled Mfowethu.
Career
Mziza started as a poet, later he tried out stage acting and finally television acting. He is also a storyteller and musician.
The actor has entertained South African viewers for decades. He was cast in many popular films including Kalushi: The Story of Solomon Mahlangu and A Million Colours.
The actor is best known for playing the crime lord Nkunzebomvu “Nkunzi” Mhlongo in the South African television show Uzalo.
He has also landed roles in other notable television series like Scandals!, Shreads and Dreams, Rhythm City, and Intersexions. He is also known for his roles in Sokhulu & Partners, and Making Cents with the Sitholes.
His debut starring role on set came in 2016, he played the role of Mandla in the telenovela titled Ring of Lies. In 2004, during the AFCON tournament in Tunisia, Masoja Msiza wrote poems for the South African National Football Team.
As a poet, the actor has written and had a performance for Ukhozi FM. He performed promo poems at the largest South African station. In June 2019, with Dudu Khoza, Masoja Msiza presented the Cothoza Music Award. The event was hosted by the Acapella group Ladysmith Black Mambazo.
Personal life
Masoja Msiza was married to Innocentia. Reports have it that the couple has divorced. In one of his statements, he said that he misses his children and all those close to him. He claimed that he had suffered a lot and wouldn’t want his children to undergo a similar experience.
The renowned actor grew up in Kwa Thema township, springs east of Johannesburg, South Africa. The actor speaks several languages but Zulu was self-taught.
