Tatenda Mandaza (born September 10, 1992), professionally addressed by his stage name Tendaness, is a record producer, Disk Jockey, and songwriter.
He has gained prominence for his official remixes including Emrah Is – Fuck the Robot (2013) and Lo & Adrienne Foo – Ride (2015). He has released many hit songs which have earned him several accolades and recognitions.

Early Life
Tendaness was born Tatenda Mandaza in Mbabane, a city in Eswatini. He was born into the family of a Zimbabwean father and a Swati mother. He started from a humble beginning. The artist started to do music while he was in high school.
His passion for music could be traced to the time he was attending high school. The young man developed an interest in music from a friend who was into the arts. Around 2007/2008, he began to do music, and a friend of his named him “Tendaness“.
The friend also contributed to his musical progress by teaching him how to use the turntables in 2008. With time he became a master in producing music and then created his record label in 2011 and titled it Tendamix Records.
Education
Even though he has a great love for music, Tendaness did not allow it to overshadow his love for academics. After his high school studies, he relocated to the US to further his studies.
In the United States, he enrolled at the University of Oklahoma in Norman, Oklahoma in 2012. Tendaness majored in Advertising and ran a minor program in Film and Media Studies. The passion for music was still there, he was good at balancing academics with music.
Career
His debut EP was dropped on August 23, 2012, under an indie label based in the UK, Crossborder Records. Since then, Tendaness has been releasing several songs which singles, EPs, and official remixes.
In 2013, he dropped a single titled Overload featuring Smashis (now Zingah) and rapper Kid Nice. The song was a hit and made waves not only in Swaziland but in South Africa.
In March 2016, he dropped his first EP titled Grande. The project featured many rising stars in Africa. In March 2017, he dropped his first single (Jika) from his first album titled Tendaness.
The single featured Bholoja and LO and became a hit gaining massive airplay on radio stations within and beyond the shores of Africa.
He is not an independent artist, the singer is signed under his record label Tendamix. The song Jika recorded many successes, it claimed to No.1 spot on the Top 100 Charts for Swaziland. It also made it to the No.1 on the SBIS 2 Top 100 songs of 2017 and No. 2 on the Y Urban Top 40 Chart.
His hit song Jika made it to No. 29 on the #YTop100 songs on 2017 Charts on YFM in South Africa. The hit climbed to No. 2 on DJ Edu DNA Top 5 Chart on BBC Radio 1Xtra. Outside Africa, it was also a hit and made it to No. 4 on the Afro Turn Up Charts on PBS 106.7FM in Melbourne, Australia.
On 22 June 2018, the artist dropped the music video for the song Jika. He is a two-time recipient of the DJ of the Year Award in Eswatini (2010/11 and 2011/12). In 2011, he emerged the winner of the Sprite DJ Campion.
