During this time, organisations, community-based organisations and even young women and girls all across the world design campaigns to raise awareness of and stand up to GBV. 16 Days of Activism against Gender Based Violence (GBV) is a campaign held each year between 25th November- 10th December.
Defining Gender Based Violence
We often hear the term Gender Based Violence, but what does it mean? UN Women defines GBV as a harmful act against an individual or group based on their gender.
