Despite Al Ahly reaching the semi-final stage of the CAF Champions League, Wael Gomaa has said he hopes the club’s board replaces Pitso Mosimane
The African champions marched on to the last four at the weekend following a 3-2 aggregate win over Raja Casablanca, but not all of those with an affinity for the club appear happy with the job Mosimane is doing in Egypt.
Ex-Al Ahly and Pharaohs defender Gomaa, who made 345 appearances for the 42-time Egyptian Premier League winners, was frustrated with the team’s performance in their 1-1 draw in Cairo and suggested Mosimane should be replaced when the CAF campaign has concluded.
