T.I. Says His Beef With 50 Cent Was About Protecting His Family

The back and forth over the past week has finally found a middle, as a T.I. adds context regarding the firm ground he’s standing on in the current beef going on between him and rapper-turned-internet troll, 50 Cent.

This past week has just been keyboard strike after keyboard strike, diss tracks, video warnings and Instagram shade between 50 Cent and the entire Harris family. All the way down to the babies, yes.

For context, we need to go back all the way to the beginning.

The year was 2006, and both rappers were at the peak of their careers. There were hints of them not linking one another, but it was not publicly apparent. The details were hidden in slight disses during interviews, but the heat died down for a long while. That is until recent events occurred.

The rappers were said to be facing off in a Verzuz battle, where artists perform side-by-side and bring their best hits out and put it to a test. T.I. revealed that the planning had been going smoothly, until 50 Cent backed out of the event for no reason and pretend he knew nothing of the event. T.I. then said that the planned event was not even going to be a battle, but an appreciation of each other’s work.

“It’s like, F**k all of it. Now, I question your character. N***a, just say you don’t want to do it.” T.I. said.

With 50 focusing his sights more into documentary making, there is an alleged rumor that he is working on an exposé documentary about T.I. and his wife Tiny. This documentary will delve into the couple’s ‘alleged drugging & assault accusations’. While there is no confirmation, it would come as no shock that 50 would do such a thing.

50 has since taken to Instagram on a whim and shared targeted posts towards T.I.’s family, specifically his wife Tiny Harris and son King Harris.

King did not take this matter laying down, as he responded viciously online with some scathing remarks about the 50-year-old rapper’s late mother. 50 followed up with posting unflattering images of Tiny on social media. T.I. simply responded as a true rapper would: diss tracks.

In the songs, T.I. reprimands 50 and states that he is merely embarrassing himself, his appearance, and decides to go spouse-for-spouse by dissing his baby mother, Daphne Joy. Of course, 50 Cent only responded with memes and nothing of substance.

“Goes to old rappers still trying to battle rap, ChatGPT told me that. I don’t need me to rap, YOU need me to rap. LOL get the F**k off my page.” 50 responded and has since deleted his original posts of Tiny.

After cooking 50, T.I. stated that it was never meant to be an attack, he was just defending his family.

“The only thing I have to say… it’s very unfortunate but, honestly, 5 wasn’t here to defeat. I was here to defend. I’m just happy that the women and children in my family know that there’s a line of men that’s ready to stand and protect from whoever, against whoever.” T.I. said.
