After a couple of weeks in anticipation, Kizz Daniel and Tekno have released the official video for their smash hit ‘Buga.’ The video which was shot by the sensational Video Director TG Omori also starred comedian Sabinus.
Since it was dropped, ‘Buga’ has made immense accomplishments, spending numerous weeks at the number one spot on TurnTable Top 50, and gaining a whopping 7 million views on YouTube. The song even had the Liberian President joining in the #BUGACHALLENGE. The music video has a striking carnival scene with people choreographing the ‘Buga’ dance performance.
What is even more striking about the video is that it features the popular online comedian and skit maker, Oga Sabinus. Having won the Best Skit Maker Award at the AMVCA earlier in the year, the song only seems to add to his joy. He showed off his signature “foto!” gesture and danced funnily. It’s really a video to enjoy.
The multicolored video had various countries’ flags on display.
A hint perhaps at the desire of Kizz Daniel to perform the song at the world cup. Tekno, who had a verse in the song, also starred in the video put out yesterday. With the delivery of the visuals, it wouldn’t be a thing of surprise to expect that the song will go on to enjoy its wonderful run on the charts and the airways.
Ever since it dropped, ‘Buga’ has smashed numerous records across the globe. There have been many dance challenges on TikTok to endorse the less than four-minute song, which has improved its popularity. The song has outperformed the charts of several online music streaming outlets.
The song had attained the stature of the most Shazamed song in the world and also maintained the number one stance in over ten countries on the Apple Music Charts. Shazam is an online phone application that can recognize music, movies, advertising, and television shows, from any short copy, played and utilizing the microphone on the device.
Regardless, from the mid-year data report gathered by Turn Table Charts, a music magazine, “Buga” is already the third most-streamed song of 2022 and the No. 38 most-heard song on the radio. The topic is also dubbed as the No. 10 overall song of 2022 so far.
As a consequence, “Buga” is now the most played song of the year, not just in Nigeria but in other parts of Africa and Europe.

Kizz Daniel is considered to be one of the few Nigerian singers who hasn’t ever released a wack song, as every song he releases is a hit, back to back.
