SA’s finest Connie Ferguson nominated for a top gong in Africa Choice Awards

The local television industry will be represented byone of the country’s top talents at the upcoming Africa Choice Awards in Nigeria. 
 
Ferguson will hoist the country’s flag as she will be joined by Ayanda Ncwane as the two nominees from the country. 
 
The former Generations actress, Ferguson, and Ncwane have been nominated as the only South Africans nominated in the female TV star of the year category. 
 
Having already secured various awards in the film and business space, Ferguson, who is also the brains behind the Queen on Mzansi Magic’s telenovela, will hope to come back with another accolade. 
 


 
According to a social media post, the eagerly anticipated ceremony will be held in Lagos later this year, the event is a celebration of entertainment and television talent behind and in front of the camera as Ferguson will hope to bag it. 
 
Also known as Karabo in the television industry for her role on Generations, the fitness fanatic has thanked the organisers for giving her the nod but urged her fans to vote for her, 
 
“Thank you @africachoiceawards for The Female TV Star Of 2022 nomination. Truly humbling,” she wrote. 
 
“To vote for me and bring this one back home please go to the @africachoiceawards profile, click on the link in their bio, and voting instructions will be there.” 
 
Sunday World has it that the duo also represents an investment made by Vergeria Life Magazine as a show of its commitment to the development of skills and talent on the continent.  
 
It is reported that Vergeria Life Magazine is an entrepreneurial and business magazine for young entrepreneurs. 
 
Coming back for their fourth edition, the awards also celebrate the rich African cultural heritage and the achievements of Africans in various fields. 
 
Ferguson and Ncwane are the only South Africans nominated in the female TV star of the year category and the two are celebrated businesswomen in the Mzansi. 
 
Meanwhile, Entertainment SA reported that legendary South African actress and businesswoman, Ferguson, has revealed a touching reflection on how she met her late husband, Shona, including his final message.  
 
The former Generations leading actress says she met the late actor when she was not ready to settle down or be in a relationship.
