Kanye West buys social media company after Twitter restriction

Controversial businessman Kanye West has reached an agreement to buy a social media company, Parlement Technologies.

The agreement comes after the rapper, West, was restricted to use Instagram and Twitter last week, and Parlement Technologies, announced the deal on Monday.

In a statement, the company Parlement Technologies, said it had reached a deal with controversial American rapper and businessman, West, to buy the asset.

Known for its ties with former United States President Donald Trump supporters, Parlement technologies, did not disclose the amount behind the business deal.

Parler CEO George Farmer, in a statement, said the company had entered into a deal in principle with West who now goes by the moniker Ye, to acquire the business.

“The acquisition ensures Parler a future role in creating an uncancelable ecosystem where all voices are welcome. This deal will change the world, and change the way the world thinks about free speech. Ye is making a groundbreaking move into free speech media space and will never have to fear being removed from social media again,” he said.

Ye’s net worth is reportedly in the region of $2 billion with the bulk of his fortune coming from his Yeezy sneakers brand and partnerships with Gap and Adidas.

The deal comes days after Ye was locked of his Twitter and Instagram accounts following a weekend of antisemitic posts.

West has more than 31 million followers on Twitter, which is in the process of being bought by his friend and the world’s richest man Elon Musk.

Trump himself opened his own social media platform Truth Social, after he was banned by two social media companies, Twitter and Facebook.

Now known as Ye, West has expressed admiration for Trump on several occasions.
