Ijeoma Josephina Otabor, popularly known as Phyna has been declared the winner of the Season 7 of the Big Brother Naija reality television show with the theme, ‘Level up’ while Bryann emerged as the first runner-up, After 72 days of slugging it out against 28 other contestants
Tagged ‘Level Up’, the show premiered on 23 and 24 July.
The host of the show announced the winner amidst heart-thumping tension the audience waited with bated breath as Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, finally unveiled Phyna as the winner.
before the announcement, Phyna described her experience as splendid and unique.
It was an emotional moment as Big Brother addressed the finalists, calling them Big Brother Spectacular Six.
Although Big Brother told them that goodbyes precede new beginnings, he assured the housemates that beyond level-up walls are a world of endless possibilities.
“You have not just leveled up. You have become forces of nature. Immovable. Irresistible. Unstoppable. As they say, goodbyes precede new beginnings.
“This goodbye will herald the beginning of your reign as royalty. Housemates, go out there and rule. Big Brother bids you goodbye,” Big Brother said.
Phyna, who won the show, will be walking home with a 100 million naira grand prize a cash prize of 50 million naira, and 50 million naira worth of prizes from the sponsors.
In addition, 30 fans of the show won N1m each in the ‘Fave Lock-In’ promo exclusive to DStv and GOtv customers.
Phyna who is only the second female housemate to win the show has joined the exclusive list of the past winners of the reality television show namely Katung Aduwak, Efe Ejeba, Miracle Igbokwe, Mercy Eke, Olamilekan Agbeleshebioba (Laycon), and Hazel Oyeze Onou (Whitemoney) of season 1-6 respectively.
The finale was marked with music performances from MI, Falz and Pheelz.
