Controversial American rapper and businessman Kanye West is probed by German sports manufacturer, Adidas for inappropriate behaviour.
Entertainment SA has learned that West is alleged to have discussed pornography and showed an intimate photograph of his ex-wife, Kim Kardashian to Yeezy staff.
The allegation came through a media report by Rolling Stone where an unnamed source divulged that West did this for many years.
In its response, Adidas said they have launched a probe into such serious allegations or accusations, the company said in a statement.
The investigation into Kanye comes after weeks of divorce from the German sports apparel maker following the controversial and anti-Semitic remarks he made on social media.
US magazine Rolling Stone reported claims that the rapper played pornography to Adidas staff in meetings – the report further disclosed that ex-staffers who were involved in “Yeezy” – had released this letter indicating the Adidas bosses are aware of this matter.
“It is currently not clear whether the accusations made in an anonymous letter are true,” Adidas said in a statement.
“However, we take these allegations very seriously and have taken the decision to launch an independent investigation of the matter immediately to address the allegations.”
Per the report, workers who opted to remain anonymous argued that West used intimidation and sexist tactics with employees, which were often directed towards women.
Also included in the damning letter, ex-Yeezy employees called on Adidas to address “the toxic and chaotic environment that Kanye West created”.
In its latest statement Thursday, Adidas said it has been and continues to be actively engaged in conversations with its employees about the events that lead to our decision to end the partnership.
“They have our full support and as we’re working through the details of the termination,” it added.
Furthermore, the globally recognised sports brand, Adidas launched a review of its relationship with West after he made an appearance at a Paris fashion show wearing a shirt emblazoned with “White Lives Matter”.
