On November 9, AKA posted a video to his Instagram Stories of his bae Nadia Nakai getting a new tattoo. The “Lemons (Lemonade)” hitmaker shared a photo of the two with matching ink in the next Instagram Story.
He later shared a photo of them posing with their tattoo artist, as well as a feed post with their matching ink.
With the stereotype and superstition surrounding unmarried couples getting matching tattoos, let us hope they never break up.
AKA’s new tattoo depicts half of a lion’s face, while Nakai completes the other half with a lioness. Brad from the popular tattoo parlour Royal Ink did the tattoos.
AKA made headlines a few years ago when he got a massive tattoo of the Manchester United logo on the top of his arm.
“Thanks for our new ink @royalink_sa,” he said on Instagram.
The lovebirds have been painting the town red in recent months, as they’ve been spotted out and about for dinner and attending each other’s gigs.
If there was ever any doubt that they were a serious item, those doubts are now gone.
According to IOL, after getting matching tattoos, AKA and Nakai were spotted at Rockets Bryanston, where AKA celebrated his and Nasty C’s summer smash hit “Lemons (Lemonade)” going platinum in less than a month.
The new single has been a huge success, helping to resurrect AKA’s musical career after a difficult few years.
AKA’s friends and family, as well as industry heavyweights such as Yanga Chief, DJ Capital, Karabo Poppy, DJ Speedsta, DJ Milkshake, and Don Design, were among those who attended the invite-only celebration.
