Distraught Nhlanhla Lux pays emotional tribute to the late AKA

Well-known social activist Nhlanhla ‘Lux’ Dlamini has also joined many South Africans in paying tributes to the late rapper AKA.

The Soweto-based activist says AKA was a trendsetter in the music space and that it is a sad loss to the entertainment industry.

Lux says he will continue to fight for equality in the physical world while urging the late star to fight on the other side of the world.

Dlamini also urged AKA to pass his greetings to his late father and the likes of Pro Kid and HHP.

“Dear SA hip hop, the game definitely has a glitch now. Kiernan Forbes, You were super obsessed with the development & safety of our country to the point where you forgot about your own safety,” he wrote.

“Here is a deal; lead the spiritual warfare from that side and I’ll lead the physical warfare from this side.

“We can still fight and win this war together. Send my love to Pro kid, HHP, my dad, and everyone else on that side. Rest easy Mega.”

Born Kiernan Forbes, the rapper was killed in a shooting at a popular night spot on Durban’s Florida Road on Friday night. According to City Press, police are looking into a ‘person of interest’ in the murder.

Entertainment SA now looks at the social media reactions to the viral post and it seems Mzansi is struggling to come to terms with the tragic death of the artist.

@Cath Catherine posted:

“I am not an emotional person when coming to the death of artists but this one did. I can’t stop thinking about how cruel people can be.”

@James Ngidi posted:

“He was a great man indeed may his soul rest in peace.”

@Puleng Matsoge:

“Ja neh I don’t even know what to say, thinking about his parents, his daughter, his siblings, and the whole close family. my heart is so heavy but what else can one say? We are living in a country where taking one’s life is treated so lightly. I am so heartbroken.”

@Sicelo Ngobese commented:

 “I really blame our country’s law.”
