DJ Zinhle Defends her Relationship with AKA’s Family- “hating someone is a lot of work”

DJ Zinhle appears to be losing patience with people constantly criticising her decision when it comes to AKA’s family.

Earlier this week, DJ Zinhle, Kairo, Nadia Nakai, and the Forbes family went out for lunch. While this is a sweet gesture, some social media users questioned DJ Zinhle on why she was still hanging out with AKA’s family while she is married to Bongani ‘Murda Bongs’ Mahosana. According to others, DJ Zinhle never spends time with Murda’s family.

The DJ went live on her Instagram to address those who have issues with her relationship with Forbes family.

The “Umlilo” hitmaker said, “I feel like a lot of people have opinions on situations they have never been in, in their lives. There is a big chance that the person who asked me about AKA has never lost someone that they are raising a child with.”

She went on to add, “Guys I’m still gonna shock people. I even joked with Nadia and said when your boyfriend comes, he must come here we are all a blended family. I don’t get why South Africans are so scared of getting along. I think for a lot of South Africans it would have given them so much comfort if Kiernan and I never got along. Why?”

People were surprised at how close the DJ and rapper Nadia Nakai, the late AKA’s girlfriend, are and that there is no bad blood between them.

DJ Zinhle shared that, she doesn’t want to be in a position where she doesn’t get along with anyone. She went on to say that individuals are poisoning themselves by fighting other people and that they should “just make peace that things didn’t work out.”

The owner of Era by Zinhle revealed that she prays every morning to the Lord to forgive all of her sins.

AKA’s mom, Lynn Forbes also took to her Instagram to share this heartfelt moment with DJZinhle, Nadia Naki and her grandchild Kairo accompanied by caption, “My mother never taught me how to love … she showed me”

Zinhle wrote a poignant note to her baby daddy, AKA, after his passing.

“The last time I saw you, you told me how proud you are of us and how
well we were co-parenting, we had come a long way, and even though it
challenged a lot of people in how well we co-parented. It was never about
society or us, it was always about our daughter and what was best for her.

“We quickly learnt that our differences would not be a burden for our daughter, our past mistakes could not deprive our daughter of a happy childhood with love from both mom and dad. I am so glad we figured it out, it’s as if we knew you would not be around long enough. Thank you for loving her the way you did.”
