As the 2023 BET Awards took place Sunday, 25th June at Los Angeles’ Microsoft Theater, Beyoncé came up as one of the artists who won big at the awards with one of her hit song Break My Soul winning the Viewer’s Choice Award, Best Album and BET Her.
Break My Soul is from Beyoncé’s recent album Renaissance which was released last year, 2022. Bey collaborated with Big Freedia on her song. She added elements of Madonna’s song “Vogue” and also sampling Robin S.’s “Show Me Love” making it one of the viewer’s choice when it comes to music.
Bey was not around to accept her award as she is currently at her album Renaissance World Tour. According to Forbes, the Renaissance Tour could possibly end up grossing nearly $2.1 billion in revenue.
The Cuff It singer and Kill Bill singer, SZA shared the top music prize for Best Album, Beyonce with her album Renaissance and SZA for SOS.
SZA also won Best Female R&B/ Pop Artis and Best Video for her hit song Kill Bill.
