Radio host and reality show star Dineo Ranaka is said to have discharged herself out of the mental wellness clinic in Pretoria on Friday.
Dineo checked herself into a mental wellness clinic last week after she revealed that she has been dealing with mental health issues in recent weeks.
Dineo took to her Instagram to share with her 1.2 million followers her struggles with mental health she wrote, “I completely understand souls/spirits/ people that commit suicide. I get it. I get them. Because I’m trying my best not to commit suicide.” She added, “My mind is so loud of late and life is f*cking hard. *crying emoji* So f*cking hard and I’m trying my best, but it seems my best is not hard enough.”
According to Sunday World reports, the Kaya 959 host discharged herself just three days after checking herself in.
It is said that Dineo had an altercation with one of the healthcare workers resulting to her leaving the facility.
A source at the hospital said the healthcare worker was on the phone when Dineo thought he was taking videos of her.
The source said, “Someone was on the phone so Dineo thought that person was taking a picture and she confronted him.
“Then the boy said to Dineo shut up and then they had a confrontation which ended up in him saying she must not take out her frustrations on him.”
A user on social media user who seems to be on Dineo’s side said, “The issue is the hospital worker. How dare he say that she mustnt take out her issues on him!?? That is a mental health facility. Everyone there has issues. It’s not up to him to judge! Where is the empathy? He wanted to ‘show’ Dineo. That entire statement reeks of bias,” wrote one person.
Radio Host and TV Presenter Anele Mdoda shared her views and sympathy towards Dineo, she wrote on Twitter, “I would have liked to see a little grace towards uDineo no matter how wrong you seem to believe she is. She has said, I am not okay, I need light and I am going through a rough time and here we are peeking into a really sensitive and fragile time. Love people especially when YOU believe they don’t deserve it ”
