Dr Malinga Deported from Zimbabwe For Not Having Work Permit

Musician Dr Malinga shared that he was deported by Zimbabwe’s authorities. Malinga was set to perform in Zimbabwe at Ngom Primary School in Gwanda but unfortunately could not grace the stage as he was deported for not having a work permit.

It is reported that the singer’s management team and promoters failed to get him the necessary documents as well work permit for him to perform resulting in him being escorted out of the country.

According to Zimbabwe’s authority, it is a legal requirement for musicians to obtain work permits prior to their arrival.

The Hangover singer was called out by his fans for not showing up, Malinga went on his social media platform, Facebook to clear his name and reason why he couldn’t attend the gig. The musician confirmed that indeed he was deported from the country and had to fly back to South Africa with his team.

“Yesterday we flew to Zimbabwe but we got deported. So we were supposed to perform at Ngoma but we got deported. It’s not like we didn’t come. We came. We even shot videos that we are here. We landed but they deported us,” he said.

“Zimbabwe sorry for that. But it was complications from your side, from the promoter’s side not from my side because mina I came.”
