Final between RB Leipzig and Eintracht Frankfurt to broadcast live across Africa this weekend
ESPN Africa is proud to announce that it has secured the rights to broadcast the DFB-Pokal, German Football Association Cup, adding to its portfolio of European football for enthusiasts across the African continent to enjoy. This exciting addition to ESPN’s unparalleled offering of sports programming kicks off with the final of the 2022/2023 season featuring RB Leipzig and Eintracht Frankfurt, this weekend, which will broadcast live on ESPN on Saturday 3 June at 20:00. Additional broadcasts will air on Sunday 4 June at 11:25 and Monday 5 June at 13:15 (CAT).

Frankfurt are five-time DFB-Pokal winners, most recently lifting the trophy in 2017/18, while a victory would see RB Leipzig win their second consecutive DFB-Pokal title after reaching the final for an impressive fourth time in the last 5 years. The 2023 / 2024 season kicks off in August 2023.
