“I am-Possible!”: Watch SA sensational dancer Musa Motha’s ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ final performance

One of the greatest talents to ever come out of South Africa, Musa Motha left the audiences jaw dropped after his breath-taking performance on the Britain’s Got Talent finale on Sunday night.

The sensational dancer was reportedly the bookies’ favourite but unfortunately he couldn’t make the top three. Viggo Venn won this season’s competition.

Musa is an amputee, who lost his leg after being diagnosed with cancer, and yet he worked hard for years to be so great, he managed to make history last week when he achieved the show’s first-ever group Golden Buzzer.

The 27-year old superstar won his semi-final on Monday evening, booking himself a spot in the final against singer Amy Lou, comedic dancer Viggo Venn, singer Olivia Lynes, Ugandan dancers Ghetto Kids, singer Travis George, singer Malakai Bayoh, acrobats Duo Odyssey, the magician Cillian O’Connor, and dancer Lillianna Clifton.

Motha shared his inspirational story when he first took to the Talent Show’s stage. He was a keen football player before his amputation, but later he fell in love with music and dance. He told the judges that he asked his friends to teach him how to dance, and that they would use crops such as boxes to help him. He added by saying that his friends taught him to use his crutches as “legs”. He is a true believer that impossible can be split into two words, “I am-Possible”

Motha’s mother, Ntokozo Matale, gathered with his family and friends in her living room in Sebokeng, south of Johannesburg, to watch the finale. His mentor, Gregory Maqoma, told Sowetan he was proud of the Musa’s journey so far.

“There is no stage bigger than Britain’s Got Talent. As his mentor, I’ve always worked towards making sure he achieved his goals. It was critical for me in our planning to make sure it happens as we moved forward.
