Mzansi Brings Hit At 2023 BET Awards Red Carpet

The 2023 BET Awards took place Sunday, 25th June at Los Angeles’ Microsoft Theater with many awards being awarded to those who deserve them. The fashion was also in attendance as celebrities dressed to impress.

South Africans were also in attendance as they braced the Los Angeles and walked the red carpet. Some of the celebrities in attendance were our very own South African rapper K.O, Amapiano DJ Uncle Waffles, presenter and actor Bonnie Mbuli.

Uncle Waffles wore an elegant silver gown designed by Keys Fashion and accessorised the dress with elegant pearl necklace and bracelet set. The Tanzania hit maker was also nominated for Best International Act along rapper K.O and  Burna Boy, who took the win.

The Sete hit maker was nominated for Best international Act rocked a more Afrocentric inspired outfit and accessorised it with a Basotho-inspired black hat.

Bonnie Mbuli

South African presenter and actor Bonnie Mbuli went for a Barbiecore style with a pink cut-out gown designed by Jovani, she stuck to her signature hairstyle which is short haircut and accessorised her look with gold jewellery. Mbuli is set to star in the next American dram series The driver.

The Amapiano star who was nominated for Viewer’s Choice Best News International Act wore a pink gown with a tulle train and decided to keep it to none when it comes to jewellery.
