Amapiano has been making waves and taking over the world. From using amapiano songs to create dance challenges to artists incorporating the genre into their songs .
Davido revealed at the Afro Nation festival that the South African amapiano artist Focalistic is the one who introduced him to the genre.
After Focalistic’s performance Davido joined him on stage and shared his love for him, He said, “Before you go, Yo this is my brother, my brother introduced me to amapiano.”
Focalistic is known for his songs Khekheleza which is huge on TikTok with its own dance challenge, Pele Pele, Zula Zula and many more.
The two artists, in 2021, the released a song together which is called, Ke Star (Remix,) Champion Sound, and they were also featured in CKAY’s song Watawi.
