The battle between Unathi Nkayi and Kaya FM is far from following what she calls her “wrongful termination” in 2021.
The media personality is determined to take action against the radio station and taking to her social media platforms, she has asked media users to send her screenshots of Sizwe Dhlomo’s tweets at the time so that she can use it as evidence.
The reason for the request is that back then, social media was set ablaze after former Idols SA judge Unathi accused her fellow Kaya FM host Sizwe Dhlomo of swearing at her for coming late to the studio, while recording equipment in the studio later revealed that Sizwe had in fact not sworn at her but rather asked her not to come late.
That led to Unathi’s contract with the broadcaster being terminated with immediate effect, and she decided to pursue legal action against Kaya FM.
In her bid to win the case, she has headed online to ask social media users to send screenshots of Sizwe’s tweets when the incident first occurred in 2021. In a video that she posted online, she said: “If anyone screen grabbed the Twitter rant that Sizwe went on from the 17 of November to December 2021 about my wrongful termination. Two days he dedicated to a Q&A. He’s deleted everything but we’re not surprised,”
It seems like Sizwe is not fazed and is confident in his case since he has encouraged anyone with the screenshots to send it to Unathi. “Yeah, send her that thing if you have it,” he wrote in a response.
While all this is taking place, the main question that their followers have is, why were the Tweets deleted in the first place. Especially the ones who have been following their story, rushed to the comment section to share their thoughts.
“Why did you delete it then? Is there anything catching up with those tweets you made?(are they being used as evidence),” one person asked Sizwe.
Another asked: “Out of curiosity. Hypothetically, if she wins this case, what does she get?”
A close source to Unathi has revealed to Entertainment SA that she has received the requested screenshots.
