After releasing last year’s record-breaking hit single ‘Sete’, the award-winning rapper K.O has partnered up with Daliwonga to deliver yet another hit song titled ‘Thatha’.
Taking to his Instagram page to share the new track, K.O captioned his post by writing: “Was never an easy journey yet here we are, blessed and highly grateful to be of service to the culture. Produced by my brothers Surprise, Less Beats and myself #Thatha feat. @daliwonga_sa is out now!”
The track also showcases the rapper diving into his extravagant lifestyle and lavish spending sprees abroad. The song speaks to a long-time hustler who’s finally seeing their breakthrough and making millions of dollars.
In one of the lines he says: “My life’s perfect. Yeah cos I’m working, I’m back in my Burkin… I’m trying to enjoy the fruits of my labour. Rich flex awu rich flex.”
The lyrics of the track speak to the essence of a man who finally wants to celebrate the fruits of his labour with the love of his life, who remained patient through the hardships of his journey.
K.O said ‘Thatha’ is all about receiving, and he thinks he is now at a point where he’s just reaching out to the universe and receiving all the blessings, some that have already reached his hand and some that are still coming his way.
“So for anyone who hears the song, I know the message resonates with them in a lot of different scenarios. I feel like it is one of those songs we’re gonna be celebrating with going into the festive season.” – the rapper added.
He also added that it’s a song he thinks he’d like to see living beyond this summer because “it is a forever mood, very light-hearted, soulful, and just beautiful.”
