AmaZulu released a statement yesterday confirming the passing of striker Bonginkosi Ntuli. The club said Ntuli was diagnosed with an aggressive form of cancer very recently, which metastasized and ultimately led to his death at the Midlands Medical Centre Private Hospital, in Pietermaritzburg on Sunday afternoon.
“It is with a very heavy heart that we inform you of the untimely passing of our beloved centre-forward and loyal servant, Bonginkosi Ntuli,” a statement from the Durban club read.
Ntuli was born in Pietermaritzburg and started his professional career with Golden Arrows back in 2012. Between 2014 and 2019, he was on the books of Mamelodi Sundowns.
He has been playing for AmaZulu on a full-time basis since 2019.
