After years of hard work and perseverance, South African media personality Thato Mokoena has finally received her first ever award – Best Social Media Content Creator at the 2023 Eminent Video Music Awards.
Since competing on Big Brother Mzansi in 2022, Mokoena has actively pursued opportunities in entertainment, securing gigs in TV presenting, music, events, brand partnerships, and as a YouTube creator. She’s also spread her wings as an actress.
Among her varied pursuits, content creation has been a special passion dating back two years before her reality TV fame. This weekend, Mokoena’s dedication was recognized with a milestone award for her social media content. She has since reached 1 million followers on TikTok.
In an appreciative post, Mokoena thanked her loyal supporters, without whom this achievement would not be possible. Although nominated previously, this marks her first time taking home an honour.
