The family of acclaimed actress and comedian Lebohang Mpyana, best known for her role as Khelina on Mzansi Magic’s DiepCity, has announced details regarding memorial services honoring her life. Mpyana recently passed away following a brief illness, as confirmed in a statement from her loved ones.
Two commemorative events will be held to celebrate Mpyana’s spirit and artistic legacy. On Wednesday, November 8th, a memorial service will take place in her hometown at the Library Gardens Auditorium in Polokwane. Her memory will also be honored by the Black Brain family at the Joburg Theatre in Johannesburg.
Due to limited capacity, attendees are encouraged to arrive early at both venues. The service in Polokwane will additionally be livestreamed via the Mahuma Group Facebook page for those unable to attend in person.
Through her comedic skits and acting career, Mpyana touched many lives. Her family stated, “Let’s come together to commemorate a life well lived,” and encouraged all to join in embracing her legacy. The services aim to provide an opportunity for loved ones, friends, and fans to unite in cherishing Mpyana’s joyful spirit and the positive impact she had on so many.
