In a beautiful coronation ceremony this past weekend, Dr. Claude M. Mashego has made history and has been crowned the first-ever Miss World South Africa.

Claude Mashego is a gorgeous young woman who leads with grace, intelligence, and she has unwavering commitment to making a positive change.
The 24-year old medical doctor comes from Acornhoek in Bushbuckridge, and she has always had the desire to make a difference in her community and beyond. She expressed on her Instagram page that her journey to the Miss World South Africa crown was not just a personal triumph but a testament to her dedication to youth and women’s empowerment.

Mashego holds a Bachelor of Medicine & Surgery degree from the University of Pretoria, and has aspirations that align with the noble goal of building a network of young leaders and community builders not only in South Africa but across the African continent.
She is also driven by her non-profit organization, the Young Leaders Network, because through this initiative, she is working hard to unite young people with a common goal: transforming Africa into the powerhouse it’s destined to be.
