Nick Cannon is dropping more than dad jokes – he’s dishing on the dollars he’s dropping at Disneyland! The comedian admitted that being a father of a dozen has its Mickey Mouse-sized costs. In a recent appearance on “The Breakfast Club,” Cannon revealed that his annual Disneyland extravaganza with his 12 children amounts to a jaw-dropping $200,000 bill. That’s over R3 million in South African Rands.
This 43-year-old dad, said that he hits up Disneyland “at least once a month” to celebrate his kids’ birthdays and holidays. Back in the day, when Cannon hosted Disneyland’s Christmas morning parade from 2009 to 2013, he enjoyed the perks of free tickets. Ah, the good ol’ days when he was only a dad to twins Moroccan and Monroe, now 12 years old, from his previous marriage to Mariah Carey.
Fast forward to the present – with a dozen kiddos, including his 12th child, Halo Marie, born last December – Cannon is shelling out some serious money. Cannon highlighted the additional costs of hiring a chaperone and splurging on hotel rooms. “Disneyland is expensive already off [the] top if [you’re] trying to stay in the hotel,” Cannon said.
While he’s juggling the hefty bills and kiddo headcounts, Cannon opened up during the show about why he willingly signed up for a family football team.
“I could have hit pause, you know, or even opted for a no-kids policy,” he chuckled. “But, nope, I rolled out the red carpet and embraced the idea like it was a VIP at a Hollywood party. Therapy helped me navigate through it. Turns out, I’m loving this dad life. It’s like a front-row ticket to the best show in town.”
