Sneziey Msomi found herself at the center of social media criticism after sharing a photo of her daughter, with many trolls focusing on the baby’s appearance.
Responding to the backlash on her Instagram stories, Sneziey expressed frustration at the cyberbullying and the emerging stigma surrounding her child.O
In her posts, she highlighted the disparity between the attention her music receives compared to the negative online reactions.
Sneziey expressed concern about the potential impact on her six-month-old daughter, emphasizing the unfairness of subjecting a child to such criticism due to her mother’s public image.
“It’s crazy how my music never trends like the cyberbullying I receive, and now the stigma of ‘being a bully’ is catching on with my baby. She’s only six months, now what? She will grow up with low self-esteem because her mom was accused of bullying contestants in a competition, and now she must suffer,” says Msomi.
She also reflected on her own past experiences and the challenges she faced during her time on Idols SA, expressing disappointment that she had not been defended during that period.
“The fact that she’ll Google me one day and find all the insults I got and now her being bullied but adults because of her ‘bully mom’. She is only six months,” Msomi wrote.
Although she has faced a public uphill battle with bullying, Msomi hopes for a more positive phase in her life free from being bullied on social media.
