Just as we were getting over the shock of the Diddy saga, Hollywood action star Vin Diesel faces the music over allegations of sexual assault in a lawsuit filed on Thursday, accusing him of assaulting his assistant in an Atlanta hotel room over a decade ago.
The legal action has been filed in California, which has extended the statute of limitations for sexual crimes. According to the lawsuit, Diesel is accused of assaulting the assistant, who fled to a bathroom, where he allegedly forced her to touch him and then pinned her against a wall and touched himself using his hands.
The suit further claims that the assistant was fired the next day by Diesel’s sister, Samantha Vincent, who is the president of the entertainment company employing the victim. The civil suit seeks unspecified damages against Diesel, Vincent, and their companies.
Diesel’s lawyer denies the allegations, stating that there is evidence refuting the claims. The #MeToo movement has exposed and held accountable powerful figures in the entertainment industry for their abusive behavior.
