Jeannie Mai has requested the court delay enforcing her prenuptial agreement with rapper Jeezy, arguing that she didn’t have adequate time to review it before their marriage.
Mai claims the prenup negotiations happened just 5 days before their wedding, leaving insufficient opportunity for proper financial due diligence. She expresses reservations about Jeezy’s financial disclosures, saying he only provided an approximate personal statement.
Mai says she was entitled to thoroughly examine all documents to ensure a fair deal. Jeezy filed for divorce in September on grounds of an “irretrievably broken” marriage. He implied in lyrics Mai cheated, which she denies, suggesting instead he may have been unfaithful in violation of the prenup.
Mai now wants the court to either deny enforcing the prenup or delay it until more information can be exchanged about the agreement’s terms and Jeezy’s finances leading up to the wedding.
