Ye Releases Surprise Video Featuring North West For New Y$ Track

Ye, who everyone used to know as Kanye West, unveiled the first release from his collaboration with rapper Ty Dolla $ign on Wednesday, sharing a new song and video on Instagram and X.

The video for “Talking/Once Again” features Ye’s eldest daughter, North West, who lip-syncs to a mash-up sample refrain while getting her hair brushed and braided by unseen hands.

The video showcases North West rapping with a cadence reminiscent of her father’s vocal style, delivering lines like: “I love it here. We gonna take over the year for another year. It’s your bestie, Miss, Miss Westie. Don’t tryna test me. It’s gonna get messy. Just, just bless me, bless me. It’s your bestie, Miss, Miss Westie. Just tryna bless me, just bless me, bless me.”

Ye joins his daughter on screen, showing some beautiful father-daughter moments. He flashes his James Bond villain-inspired grills, costing $850,000, made of metals like titanium, palladium, and platinum. The track features Ye’s vocals towards the end, followed by Ty Dolla $ign, whose daughter Jailynn Crystal also makes an appearance in the video.

The song “Talking/Once Again” is the first release from the collaborative project ¥$ (Ye and Ty Dolla $ign). Their debut album, “Vultures,” is set to release on Friday. This project comes after Ye faced public scrutiny for making antisemitic remarks, leading to lost brand deals, and amid his divorce from Kim Kardashian. The video, directed by the D’Innocenzo Brothers and photographed by Matteo Cocco, was produced by Ye and British singer-producer James Blake.
