In an official statement IOL, the amapiano artist Zandile Nxumalo, known professionally as Zee Nxumalo, explained that her soulful vocals deliver a touching narrative of feeling abandoned by one’s forefathers. The lyrics poignantly reach out to her ancestors, seeking their help and guidance to navigate the burdens that weigh heavily on her.
