In an exciting twist for “Skeem Saam” fans, Sello Maake KaNcube is set to make a dramatic return to the show as Ntate Kganyago.
Sello Maake KaNcube had left “Skeem Saam” in December 2022, following a gripping storyline where his character, Ntate Kganyago, duped his lover Jacobeth Thobakgale, played by Elizabeth Serunye.
According to TVSA teasers, viewers are in for a treat as Rathebe (portrayed by Gontshe Ntshegang) is set to lay a trap for Kganyago on Thursday, 13 June. The teaser reads, “Rathebe sets a trap for Kganyago, and he falls into it.”
Further intrigue is promised on Monday, 17 June, when Jacobeth jeopardizes her safety to track down Kganyago.
Maake KaNcube’s stint on “Skeem Saam” began in October 2022 when he joined the show as a patient of Dr. Lizzy (Amanda Manku) at Turfloop Hospital. Ntate Kganyago initially endeared himself to Lizzy by warning her about a potential scammer, Luc, whom she was considering dating.
The plot thickened as Ntate Kganyago proposed marriage to Lizzy’s mother, Jacobeth, and persuaded her to invest half a million rand into a scam. He also turned Jacobeth against her daughter Elizabeth after she discovered his deceitful intentions.
Ultimately, Lizzy and Jacobeth uncover that Kganyago and Luc (Jean-Michel Tuji Mukengeshayi) are partners in crime, scamming women out of their money before disappearing.
Sello Maake KaNcube, renowned for his role as Archie Moroka in SABC1’s soapie “Generations,” is sure to bring his signature flair back to “Skeem Saam” with his return as the scheming Ntate Kganyago.
