It seems like the amapiano industry’s claims of gatekeeping are resurfacing again as Sir Trill rants in anger on his Instagram stories, saying there is this “grootman” who is gatekeeping him from releasing a new song.
The Nkantini superstar was livid when addressing this issue, however, it’s not the first time Sir Trill has publicly spoken about the gatekeeping happening in the industry and he did so in tears, many of the artists complained about this, the name that usually came up for gatekeeping was the renowned and award winner Dj Maphorisa.
DJ Maphorisa was not just accused by one person, but by others like Shebext, and Skomota just to name a few, except his partner Kabza De Small. Could it be that they are working together to gate-keep people in this industry?
This time Sir Trill did not specify who the ‘grootman’ is he talking about. “Close the doors all you want. Won’t change the fact that I know the person you are and I will never respect you or kiss your ass” says the livid amapiano star
We are waiting to hear from Sir Trill who this ‘Grootman’ is, however, it seems many of the people replying to what happened and speculations are thrown that this has Dj Maphorisa written all over it.
