Alex Music Festival to donate half of its proceeds to those in need

The 9th annual Alex Music Festival themed All White recently took place at Kwa Bhekilanga Stadium in Alexandra. Attended by over 8,000 people from all walks of life, the festival saw a line-up of over 60 artists.

Supported by TMM who sponsored the production of the show and stage, this week, after a successful celebration of its ninth year running, the festival plans to donate half of its proceeds to various charity organisations, towards food parcels, and school uniforms.

“We are passionate about giving back to those who continue to support us. This is our token of appreciation to say a hand that gives is one that receives,” said organizer Bheki Mahlangu.

Singer Zee Nxumalo said being part of an event of this magnitude is heart-warming. “This is a big deal! This event happens every year and to be part of it is an honour.”

Josiah De Disciple said, “I endorse anything that gives back to the community and makes a difference amongst our people. As artists, we forget to always support those who buy our music, and this is a great initiative.”

Alex Music Festival will be hosting its next event, themed Shorts and Shades on 7 December 2024 at Kwa Bhekilanga Stadium in Alexandra.
