Nick Cannon is keeping it real on his podcast We Playin’ Spades, and this time, the topic is as cheeky as it gets—Brazilian butt lifts (BBLs). On the latest episode, Cannon, along with his co-host Courtney Bee, welcomed influencers Raymonte and Davey Bad for a lively discussion that took an unexpected turn when the infamous cosmetic procedure came up.
The conversation kicked off with an icebreaker question that had everyone in stitches. Davey Bad, in a moment of pure randomness, asked the room, “Would you rather have a bad BBL or just be bad built?” After a pause, he decided he’d rather embrace being “bad built” than gamble with a botched backside.
Cannon, never one to shy away from a hot topic, chimed in with genuine surprise, “They still doing the BBL thing?” His guests confirmed that not only are BBLs still a thing, but they’re becoming more affordable than ever—a fact that left Cannon a bit baffled.
Raymonte added fuel to the fire by claiming that “Men be saying BBLs are hard,” likening the feel of the augmented derrières to basketballs. Cannon didn’t hesitate to agree, confessing that he’s all about the natural look. “I’d much rather [have] natural,” he admitted, adding with a chuckle that he’s a fan of the “sports body.”
The father of twelve didn’t go into further detail about his preferences, but his comments added him to the growing list of celebrities who’ve voiced their opinions on cosmetic procedures—whether in favour or, like Cannon, with a touch of humour.
While Cannon didn’t explicitly discourage people from going under the knife, it’s clear he’s not rushing to book any consultations. Other stars, including Ariana Grande, Nicki Minaj, Cardi B, and Kylie Jenner, have been more vocal about their regrets over some procedures. Even rapper Latto, now 25, opened up about her experience, revealing that she got a BBL at 21 after being body-shamed online.
Latto didn’t mince words during a recent livestream, where she shared her thoughts on the surgery. “Every time I post a gym picture, people be like, ‘Oh, she got a BBL.’ I’ve been so loud and clear about a BBL that I had four years ago. When I was 21, [the BBL] that y’all convinced me I needed, by the way,” she said, reminding everyone that the decision wasn’t solely hers.
“Moral of the story: I just think everybody should stop worrying about everybody. Natural girls are winning. Surgery girls…BBL girls are winning,” she concluded. “Do what works for you and mind your own business. Make your own decisions based on what you want to do, not what other people are telling you to do.”
