Meagan Good and Jonathan Majors are officially engaged, making their stunning debut as a betrothed pair at the prestigious Ebony Power 100 Gala in Los Angeles.
This wasn’t just any red-carpet reveal, it was a full-circle moment for the couple. The Ebony Power 100 Gala is where their love story began, and they couldn’t have picked a more symbolic venue to share the happy news.
“We first met here, in the unisex bathroom, of all places,” Good, 43, quipped with a radiant smile, as reported by Vulture. “It felt right to announce it here.” Adding even more sparkle to the occasion, Good proudly flaunted her dazzling engagement ring, quickly becoming the night’s most-talked-about accessory.
Majors, 35, known for his powerhouse performance in Creed III, reflected on this new chapter in his life. “It’s a season of joy,” he told People, while his fiancée chimed in, “It’s a season of all the good things.”
The duo first set the rumour mill spinning in May 2023 when whispers of a romance began circulating. Since then, their journey has been anything but conventional. Good stood steadfastly by Majors during his highly publicized assault trial in New York, a legal battle that culminated in December 2023 with Majors being convicted of misdemeanour assault and harassment. The actor avoided jail time by completing a 52-week domestic violence intervention program.
While their relationship weathered criticism, particularly aimed at Good for standing by Majors amid the controversy, the couple has proven that love, resilience, and perhaps a little Hollywood magic can shine through even the toughest of times.
