Eminem and 50 Cent Tease Fans with Joint Album!

It seems Eminem is taking notes from the success of Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre’s collaborative album Missionary and wants to create his own dynamic duo moment—this time with long-time collaborator 50 Cent.

On Christmas Day, the Death of Slim Shady rapper made an appearance on DJ Whoo Kid’s podcast Whoo’s House, where he dropped a bombshell around the 21-minute mark. When asked about the possibility of teaming up with 50 Cent for a full-length album, Eminem didn’t hold back.

“That’s a great idea,” Em admitted. “We’ve got to stop bullshitting and just do it.” The 22-time Grammy winner added with a smirk, “I would never say it’s not possible.”

This isn’t the first time Slim Shady has floated the idea of a collaborative project with 50 Cent. Nearly a year ago, he told DJ Whoo Kid that he’d been campaigning hard for 50 to get back in the studio.

“Yo, I’m trying to get him to make another album so bad. We need another 50 album, like, really bad, bro,” Eminem said at the time. “50’s been on a roll since the tour, and I told him whatever he needs from me, I’m here. That sh*t would be crazy though—an album with me and him.”

The two have a history of hits, including fan favourites like “You Don’t Know” and “Crack a Bottle.” More recently, they appeared together on the Missionary track “Gun Smoke,” which Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg celebrated in their Complex cover story.

“That’s Dr. Dre’s all-star team,” Snoop said. “All three of us love Dr. Dre’s production, and we all felt like we needed a record where we all got something together. We’re loving each other, we’re appreciating each other, and it just made sense.”

Dr. Dre chimed in, calling their bond “a brotherhood.” He added, “None of us has ever said no to each other.”

The ball now seems to be in 50 Cent’s court, and he’s ready to play. The rapper-turned-entrepreneur hasn’t released a studio album since Animal Ambition in 2014, but Eminem’s comments appear to have sparked something.

Taking to social media, 50 shared screenshots of headlines about the potential collaboration and wrote, “Looks like I’ll be back in the booth after all. Just gotta do this residency in Vegas first.”

Fif kicked off his six-date Las Vegas residency at PH Live at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino on Dec. 27. The shows run through Jan. 4, which means fans could see him and Eminem hitting the studio as soon as the curtains close in Sin City.
