Reggaeton superstar Bad Bunny has once again captivated the world with the unexpected release of his sixth studio album, Debí Tirar Más Fotos (“I Should Have Taken More Photos”), unveiled on Sunday as a surprise to kick off 2025.
The album’s arrival was marked by a creative Instagram video in which Bad Bunny, dressed as one of the three biblical Magi, ceremoniously unwrapped the vinyl edition of the record. The visual not only celebrated the album but also reflected his signature flair for combining tradition and modernity.
On Friday, ahead of the album’s debut, Bad Bunny revealed the titles of the 17 tracks and announced an impressive roster of collaborators, including Dei V, Omar Courtz, Rainao, Chuwi, and Pleneros de la Cresta. This eclectic mix of artists promises a rich and diverse sonic experience.
Fans were also treated to a post-holiday surprise on December 26 with the release of a teaser for the album’s accompanying short film. The teaser features the esteemed Puerto Rican poet and filmmaker Jacobo Morales, who delivers a poignant monologue while conversing with Concho, a charming animated coqui, Puerto Rico’s beloved native frog. Morales reflects on life’s fleeting moments and missed opportunities, stating, “I wasn’t one to take many pictures or post stories, nothing like that. I would say it was better to live in the moment. But as you get older, remembering isn’t as easy. I should have taken more photos, lived more, I should’ve loved more when I had the chance.”
The deeply personal themes of the short film echo throughout the album, which serves as both a celebration of Puerto Rican culture and a meditation on cherishing life’s moments. Lead singles “Pitorro de Cocco” and “EL Clúb” set the stage for the album’s vibrant yet introspective tone, blending reggaeton’s infectious rhythms with heartfelt storytelling.
