Drake’s highly anticipated Anita Max Win tour has been making waves across Australia and New Zealand, but in a plot twist worthy of one of his own lyrics, some of the dates are getting postponed.
According to an exclusive statement initially shared with Rolling Stone AU/NZ, a mysterious “scheduling conflict” is the reason behind the delay. But don’t panic just yet—Drake’s team has assured fans that rescheduled dates (and even a few extra shows) are on the way. For those who’ve already secured their golden tickets, they’ll still be valid for the new dates, and refunds are available for those who can’t make the rescheduled events.
When Complex reached out for further comment, Drake’s rep clarified that four out of his 16 completely sold-out shows in Australia and New Zealand would be postponed. The affected stops include Brisbane (March 4), Sydney (March 7), and Auckland (March 15 and 16). The team is actively working on rescheduling and even adding additional shows to make up for the shuffle.
“We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience,” the statement read. “Drake and the entire team have had an incredible time doing these shows and are excited to return soon.”
Drake himself has yet to comment publicly on the switch-up, but given his track record, it’s safe to assume he’ll be back with a bang. The tour kicked off with electrifying back-to-back performances at Perth’s RAC Arena, before taking over Melbourne and Sydney with four shows in each city. Brisbane was next on the list—until the unexpected change of plans.
In true Drake fashion, the Anita Max Win run has been packed with headline-worthy moments, from fan-made signs stealing the show to the rapper’s spontaneous generosity. One lucky concertgoer even saw their sign lead to a life-changing offer—Drake personally pledged to cover their mother’s cancer treatment.
And it’s not just the tour that’s been causing a stir—Drake and PARTYNEXTDOOR recently dropped their first full-length project together, $ome $exy $ongs 4 U, right in the middle of the tour madness. The album is already dominating the charts, sitting pretty at No. 1 in the U.S.
