Netflix is gearing up for an electrifying 2025, packed with an interesting line-up of South African and international films, series, and games. With bold storytelling and thrilling new content, the streaming giant is set to make 2025 one of its biggest years yet, promising entertainment that will keep audiences hooked from start to finish.

Leading the charge for local entertainment, Netflix is rolling out an exciting array of South African films and series. The year kicks off with Semi-Soeter, a delightful Afrikaans-language romantic comedy directed by Joshua Rous and produced by Anel Alexander and Zandré Coetzer. Adding to the humor, Meet the Khumalos, a riotous comedy from Jayan Moodley—the mastermind behind the Kandasamys franchise—will introduce viewers to a new set of hilarious family antics.

For drama lovers, the highly anticipated Afrikaans-language series Tuiskoms, produced by Infinity Films, debuts on 28 February 2025, bringing an exceptional cast to the screen. Meanwhile, on 21 March 2025, the adrenaline-fueled drama Go!—helmed by Kutlwano Ditsele alongside Thuli Zuma and Tristan Holmes—will take viewers on a thrilling journey.
