TCL Electronics, a global leader in consumer electronics and the world’s second-largest TV brand, has earned three prestigious Global TOP 1 rankings from market research firm Omdia. This recognition highlights TCL’s dominance in ultra-large TVs, Mini LED TVs, and Google TVs.
According to Omdia’s latest report, TCL led the global market in shipments of 85-inch and larger TVs in 2024, capturing a 22.1% share. The company also secured the top spot in Mini LED TV shipments, holding a commanding 28.8% market share. TCL has also maintained its leadership in global Google TV shipments from 2021 through 2024.
TCL’s impressive performance reflects the growing demand for large-screen and Mini LED TVs in recent years. Driven by increased time spent at home, more families are opting for larger and clearer TV to elevate their home entertainment experience.
Omdia’s forecasts suggest that global shipments of 80-inch and larger TVs will rise by 35% year-over-year, reaching 7% of the overall display market in 2025, with projections increasing to 11% by 2030. Similarly, Mini LED TV shipments are expected to grow to 9.3 million units by 2025, signalling a strong shift towards premium display technologies.
To meet this demand, TCL is expanding its portfolio of ultra-large TVs equipped with Mini LED technology.
As a pioneer in the field, TCL introduced the world’s first Mini LED TV in 2019 and was the first to achieve mass production of this technology. Since then, TCL has continuously refined its proprietary technologies and algorithms, pushing the boundaries of Mini LED performance.
With features like ultra-high peak brightness, ultra-high contrast, an expanded colour gamut, and long-lasting durability, TCL’s Mini LED TVs offer exceptional visual detail on large screens, setting a new standard for home viewing.
