After last year’s sold-out debut, Oskido is bringing his highly anticipated BIG DAY OUT festival back for a second round, and it’s shaping up to be bigger and better. Set for November 29 in Johannesburg, this one-day celebration is not just another music event—it’s an all-out lifestyle experience.
The first BIG DAY OUT brought together South Africa’s musical heritage, showcasing kwaito legends alongside house and amapiano hits, and the response was overwhelming. This year, Oskido promises to take things even further, blending nostalgia with fresh new sounds to celebrate the very best of Mzansi music, food, and culture.
“We’re going harder this time—more artists, more music, and more ways to celebrate who we are as South Africans,” says Oskido. “This festival is for everyone who’s ever danced to a kwaito beat or lost themselves in a house groove. It’s a celebration of us.”

Fans can expect to see everything from classic tunes to new school anthems, alongside an expanded lineup of South African artists, both well-established and up-and-coming. Of course, the food will be just as diverse, offering everything from local street eats to gourmet treats, reflecting the rich flavors of the country.
Taking place at Huddle Park, Linksfield, the festival will feature multiple experience zones, each offering something unique—whether it’s chill vibes, interactive art installations, or show-stopping live performances. The city’s skyline will provide a dramatic backdrop for what promises to be one of the year’s most unforgettable events.
From 12pm to 10pm, festival-goers can expect an immersive day filled with high-energy performances from a blend of legendary artists and rising stars.
