In a recent episode of L-Tido’s podcast, the rap heavyweight challenged MacG to a one-on-one boxing match at none other than the Sunbet Arena. And he’s not just talking the talk—he’s ready to throw hands. “People should come and watch us,” Cassper said. “It’s Cassper Nyovest vs MacG in the ring. Let’s go!”
When L-Tido asked why he wouldn’t go head-to-head with Sol Phenduka instead, Cassper didn’t hesitate. With a playful comeback, he said: “Ha bone,” (he can’t see) before adding, “The only thing Sol can compete in is mind games… like chess.” Cassper’s clearly having fun with the whole thing—but make no mistake, he’s dead serious about the MacG showdown.
As the conversation shifted, L-Tido brought up how Cassper seemed less motivated musically after the passing of AKA. But Cassper wasn’t having it. With the confidence of a true OG, he responded: “I am the OG. I don’t care what anyone says. All of them are small boys.”
Cassper’s got a lot to prove—and he’s still ready to back it up. “A ke le tshabi kaofela,” he added. Translation: “I don’t fear anyone.” Then, in case there was any doubt, he threw a few more verbal punches: “Ke le shapa ka di views, ke le shapa ka di streams, ke le shapa ka nyuku.” That’s him saying, “I beat you in views, I beat you in streams, and I beat you with money.”
