While social media buzzes with screenshots, accusations, and public statements, rapper Emtee appears completely unfazed — even as his wife, Nicole Kendall Chinsamy, publicly shared DM receipts involving Big Brother Mzansi contestant Mshini Lekwadu.
Emtee stood firm, showing no signs of stress — and making it clear that trending is just part of the job.
The controversy began when Nicole publicly called out Mshini, claiming she found the BBMzansi star in Emtee’s DMs. The situation spiralled as screenshots circulated, prompting Mshini to issue a statement defending her side.

“While in the Big Brother house I openly supported Emtee because I’m genuinely a fan,” Mshini explained. “He later reached out via DM to thank me, and though we exchanged a few messages, they were strictly professional. The leaked screenshot shows me sharing my address, but without full context.”
“You know our chats were innocent and music-related. Please post the full conversation, not selected screenshots.”

But while the internet picked sides and fans debated the drama, Emtee jumped on Instagram Live — and made it clear he’s not losing sleep over any of it.
When asked whether he’d be turning the situation into a song, he casually responded: “I ain’t got time to be rapping about the situation.”
Asked about how he was doing mentally, he said: “Mentally, I’m fine. I’m actually relieved this happened. Kdala umuntu efuna ukuphuma kulamas**** wale relationship,” loosely translated to: “I’ve been wanting out of this messy relationship for a long time.”
As the viewer count on his live climbed, Emtee leaned into the attention: “I worry when they don’t hate. I’m doing my job. Trending is part of my job. Whatever I do, I will trend… that’s what you call power.”
When one fan predicted he’d eventually return to Nicole, he shut it down immediately: “Maybe the other time bengidlisiwe [I was bewitched], but this time angibuyeli. Ngamane ningibulale,” meaning: “This time, I’m not going back. You might as well kill me.”
Adding more fuel to the fire, Emtee joked: “If I don’t marry Pearl Thusi, I’ll marry Mshini. I actually want Mshini. You guys messed up things with Pearl Thusi — now you want to ruin this too?”
