With just 12 weeks to go until his epic #FillUpToyotaStadium concert, Cassper Nyovest is on a mission, not only to deliver a knockout performance, but to prove that even the toughest online criticism can fuel a major transformation.
It all started after his recent performance at the Scorpions Kings Live concert. While the crowd was vibing, the rapper found himself at the receiving end of harsh body-shaming comments on social media. But instead of letting the negativity get to him, Cassper turned the heat into a fire under his feet.
In a heartfelt video shared after the event, he opened up about how the comments left him feeling vulnerable. “The comments over the weekend got to me. It’s time to lose weight and get into shape for #FillUpToyotaStadium,” he said.
But here’s where Cassper flipped the script. While the words stung, he realised they also sparked something deeper. “It hurt my feelings a little bit, but sometimes that’s what you need… a little push,” he said. He went on to emphasise that body-shaming isn’t just about what people say; it’s a reflection of their own insecurities. “It’s a projection of how you’re feeling about yourself. Body-shaming and all, you don’t even know what I’m going through,” he said.
Instead of letting the comments derail him, Cassper chose to take the lemons and make lemonade. “Imma take the lemons and make them lemonade,” he said, and that’s exactly what he’s doing. What could have been a setback became his motivation to get into the best shape of his life in time for Fill Up Toyota Stadium.
The rapper has kicked off a serious lifestyle overhaul. “It’s not easy staying away from things that you like,” Cassper revealed in another video, revealing that he’s cut out all sugar and carbs and switched to a carnivore diet to shed the extra kilos.
“I’m at the age where I’m thinking about how to fix the problem, but you don’t always know what’s healthy and what’s not,” Cassper explained, admitting the challenge of balancing fame, health, and personal well-being.
He’s been showered with messages of encouragement from fans and fellow celebs, all urging him to stay the course.
