THE HIGHLY ANTICIPATED KANYE WEST SOUTH AFRICA CONCERT HAS BEEN CANCELLED

As predicted by social media users, ticket holders for the Ye Live in South Africa concert were met with an email informing them that the concert has been cancelled.

Presented by Monyake Group, the show was announced on the 20th of September 2025 via X by Kanye West himself and followed by the official Monyake Group Instagram page. When this was announced, overwhelming excitement was expressed by users online, and nearly every publication across the nation was alerting their audiences. However, suspicions arose when people began doing their own research.

After extensive investigations, users found that the Monyake Group Instagram page had only been created on the day that the event was announced. It was very questionable how a newcomer in the events business had already managed to secure an artist as prominent as Kanye West. Furthermore, the business had no website on the day that the concert was announced, nor had tickets gone live yet due to a “technical issue”. People also expressed concerns as to why the concert was being held in Ellis Park out of every other venue.

A significant number of people chose to trust the process and proceeded to purchase tickets, only to be met with the unfortunate emails informing them that they will not be in any proximity to Kanye West as they would have anticipated. The Monyake Group released a statement on Instagram, revealing that the show has been transferred to Yeezy Production as part of a wider strategic plan. Official confirmation from Ye himself is still pending and updated details will be communicated at a later date.

People can opt to get refunds from Ticketpro or await further clarity from Ye regarding the change of plans. Any future communication will be made directly by Ye’s official accounts, and the event is set to be rescheduled and managed by Yeezy Production.
